Letter to Mr Van Horn

Dear Mr Van Horn,

My name is Charles I am 13 years of age. My birthday is on the 15th of May. I am the 5th eldest of 7 children. I have 4 brothers including me and 3 sisters. My brothers and sisters names are Gerico, Waka, Toks, Grace, Elizabeth, and Charlese. I was born in New Zealand in a town called Auckland and my cultures are Cook Island, Maori and Tahitian, all in the South Pacific. My oldest brother Gerico is now living in Brisbane, Australia and my oldest sister Grace is now living in South Auckland and is trying to get a house near where I live.

I have a lot of interest, Camping, travelling, eating, playing sports, listening to music and more! In my spare time I play sports, sleep or play games. My favourite sport is Rugby League. Playing with my family is also one of my favourite hobbies. When I was small my older brother used to teach me lots of rugby skills and always wanted me to get outside and get some exercise. He is one of my top role models. Who is your role model?

My favourite subject is maths my least favourite is reading. I do need to learn more reading I don’t read that much at home. I have attended Pt England School evers since was I 5 years old. I met a lot of kind, friendly and funny friends on my journey to year 8. I have a best friend her name is Nyree she is a helpful and funny friend. My goals for 2018 is to make new friends and get more better at reading. My questions to you is What do you like to do in your spare time? What was your daily life like at school? What languages do you speak?

Best Wishes,

Charles (:

Today's task was to write a letter to a visitor who is visiting Pt England School. His name is Mr Van Horn he came all the way from United States of America, Organ Eugene.

  1. Kia Ora Charles,

I enjoyed reading your personal letter to Mr Van Horn and finding out that one of your role models is your older brother. He has obviously been a positive influence in your life - I wonder who Mr Van Horn's role models are?
